CoCam provides a range of photographic services ranging from portraiture through to digital manipulation. The fully equipped CoCam studios can be set up for almost any subject. Photographic equipment ranges from 35mm formats through to 8"x10" professional cameras. Darkroom facilities are comprehensive with print sizes from a few inches to billboard. CoCam can also provide a digital printing service using the latest printing technology.

1. Consultancy

   Have an idea or requirement for a photograph which is a bit out of the ordinary? CoCam is the home of photographic lateral thinking! If you have a big project or a difficult one off that has you scratching you head then you have come to the right place.

   CoCam can provide you with the solution as part of a consultation process and of course carry out the work for you if required. We specialise in those jobs which other people tell you cannot be done.

2. Still Photography

   CoCam has the expertise and equipment to produce still photographs of almost any subject. Formats range from 35mm to large 8"x10" negatives or transparencies. Photographs can be supplied as prints in any size up to billboard, or as digital files sent to you either electronically or on CD. Any photograph can be digitally manipulated and output to photographic or digital prints or as an electronic file.

   Portraiture

   CoCam specialises in fine art black and white portraiture, printed onto a variety of papers in our own darkroom. The resulting portraits are unique and are toned to ensure archival quality. The photographs are usually taken with a medium format or large format camera system to provide subtle tones and gradations.

   Colour portraiture is available in any format from 35mm to 4"x5". CoCam takes advantage of the latest colour portrait film and can provide hand or machine printed colour prints on Fuji or Kodak paper.

   Portraits can be taken in the CoCam studios, on location, or in familiar surroundings. A range of backgrounds can be used, some of which are in the accessories section. Props are also available for creating a unique studio setting.

   Architectural

   Buildings and structures require specialist equipment to ensure an accurate representation. CoCam has medium and large format cameras with the facilities to correct converging verticals, manipulate depth of field and provide amazing detail for straight shots.

   Sometimes it is not the straight shots which work best to convey the particular feeling of a building or structure. This is where creativity and expertise open up a whole new view, making the most mundane look extraordinary.

   Panoramic

   Panoramic photography is available using medium or large format cameras. We can also produce QuickTime VR (QTVR) movies of the exterior or interior of any building or structure. The image at the top of this page links to a QTVR movie of the docks in Bristol, England.

   Product

   Photographing an object is a challenge if it is to be represented in an appealing or exciting way. We have the technology and expertise to interpret and photograph almost any object in our studios.

   Unusual

   If you have a photographic job which other people have told you can't be done then contact us! We specialise in low light, night and infrared photography.

3. Cine Photography

   CoCam has a range of cine cameras and projectors from 8mm through Super8 and 16mm. The equipment is of high quality using only the best available lenses amd film. We offer a variety of cine services.

   16mm

   Using Bolex 16mm reflex cameras and lenses we can offer straight filming and also animation. Transfer to video using top quality projectors and VHS cameras.

   Super8

   Using Canon and Elmo 8mm reflex cameras and lenses we can offer straight filming and also animation. Transfer to video using top quality Elmo projectors and VHS cameras.

   Standard 8mm

   Transfer to video using top quality Elmo projectors and VHS cameras.

    

4. Darkroom

   CoCam has a very well equipped darkroom which includes two floor standing Durst 138S 5"x7" enlargers one with a Chromega Dichromatic Head the other with condensor head and a DeVerre 504 with condensor and dichromatic heads. Lenses used on the enlargers are manufactured by Schneider and Nikon.

   Black & White

   The CoCam darkroom is essentially for in house photographic work, however if you have a particular hand printing requirement then we would be delighted to print your negative - any format from 35mm to 5"x7".

   Lith Printing

   Printing on a range of specialist photographic papers, a lith printing service is available for any photographic work that has been commissioned. Lith printing of customers' negatives by special arrangement.

    

5. Digital

   CoCam has been working with digital photos and graphics for over five years. We have a wide range of expertise using various applications and subject matter. Work produced by CoCam has been exhibited Internationally.

   Manipulation

   Original photographs can be altered digitally, people or buildings removed or added to scenes, images enhanced or tweaked. There is really no limit other than your imagination! The resulting new image can be printed photographically or supplied as an electronic file.

   Panoramic QuickTime VR

   CoCam has the technology to produce panoramic movies, also known as Quick Time Virtual Reality (QTVR) movies. These movies are an excellent way of showing the interior and/or exterior of buildings or structures. Examples of QTVR movies on this website show something of what is possible using this technology.

   QTVR movies are also a good way of showing someone the nature of a location without the need to travel. QTVR movies can be linked using "hotspots" allowing the viewer to take a virtual walk around a larger area and also to "enter" buildings within a scene for a look around.

   Old Photos Restored

   Do you have an old dog-eared photo that you would like restored to its former glory? We have the technology! Old photographs, colour or black and white, can be restored by CoCam and printed either photographically or by using a digital printer.
