You can now buy a range of magazines at discounted prices through CoCam. There is a 90 day free trial period on all the mags. There are many different types of magazine reviewed, all selected as potentially useful photographic references. They can be used to plan your next photo trip or to find new ideas for subject matter and to improve your photographic practice - whether you are a newcomer to photography or a seasoned professional.

The CoCam Photo Navigator has now been activated and has a small set of sample photographs ready to be viewed. There are currently 12 photos for view and the number will be increased gradually now that the Navigator has been tried and tested.

Updates are coming thick and fast this week! The Infrared FAQ now has a new table in the "Which Infrared Filters" section which shows the equivalent filters from various manufacturers which may be available in photo shops or by special order. The text in the table is coloured to represent the light spectrum passed by the filters.

The Infrared FAQ has been updated with a new section on carrying infrared film on board aircraft. There has been much discussion in the media and on various mailing lists about the safety of passing film through luggage scanners. The new section describes the procedure for safely taking your infrared film up to 30000 feet :-)
Simply hit the "What's New!" button on the floating menu bar in the Infrared FAQ to be taken straight to the information.

The CoCam Gallery has been updated with three new infrared photos by Ann Hofkin. Ann has been working with infrared for a number of years and her landscape photos are quite stunning. Ann has exhibited her work widely in the USA and we are delighted to have her work in the Gallery.

New CoCam Classified Ads Section Posted Friday, February 4, 2000 by CoCam Admin
There is a new classified ads section on the CoCam website. Currently it is available from the top menu bar on the Home page and the News Section via a button labelled "Classifieds".
The classifieds are intended to allow an easy and free method for people to sell photographic equipment and to announce events. There is no charge for placing ads. and no commission to pay :-) You can also place wanted ads if there is a piece of photographic kit that you are having difficulties in locating.
When you place an ad. you will receive an EMail giving you a password so that the ad. can be deleted when you have either sold or found your item. Currently the ads will remain in the classifieds section until they are removed by the person posting them. Please feel free to place a link from your own website to the CoCam home page so that your visitors can also pop over and read the ad.

There is currently a special offer running on the CoCam studio backdrops which can be found in the CoCam Equipment Accessories section. There is $5 off the usual price for an introductory period. The backdrops are made from low crease polycotton and are all handmade with a 3" seam to cater for almost all types of stands. The backdrops can also be pinned to a wall of course. There is a good range of colours and also three chroma key colours for use with later digital manipulation.
Great for enhancing portraiture and still life subjects.

There is now a semi-automated process in operation for adding your infrared links to the Infrared FAQ. A reciprocal link is requested from your web site. An EMail confirmation is sent out and new links added within approximately 14 days.
If you have already submitted your web site, please check the listing to make sure it is there. If your site is listed without a description then please use the submission form to add one. The links section will be reorganised again shortly and those sites without a description will probably suffer :-)
